Keely’s Dragon Shrug Progress

I would say that I’m about a third of the way through this project and I’ve been writing the pattern down as I go.

I am unsure about the wrist lace though and I have been conferring with my daughter if I should do something different, less open. I’m also not sure about the color too, that I should use a different part of the ball, like go a bit higher up to get the the greens when is next in the colorway.

As I was writing the above, my daughter found a lace stitch pattern that I’m going to try to modify for the wrist lace and it will be done in white thread. I think I am still going to include this version of the lace that I have pictured in the pattern though. The pattern she chose is a pretty involved chart, so I’m not sure if it will be part of the pattern, but I might include a link to the chart if anyone wants to give it a go. I guess we’ll see once I start working on it.

I do like her idea of working the wrist lace in crochet cotton thread instead of the same yarn that makes up the rest of the shrug though.

I am almost in a mind to call this project “Daenyrs”, but not completely certain of it right now.
